Universal Health Care - Part 1
Okay, so I’m just going to tell you upfront that this is going to be a series, I’ll be posting one every day or so for about a week.
Universal health care is a state in which all residents of a geographic or political entity have access to some type of health care by means of provision of health insurance or direct provision of health care.[1]
Universal Health care has its ups and downs. In my opinion, there are more ups than downs, and that is why I support Universal Health care.
Here are my reasons.
- The number of uninsured citizens has grown to about 50 million.
- Health care has becomes increasingly un-affordable for businesses and individuals
- Medical professionals can concentrate on healing procedures rather than on how they are getting paid.
And…we’re off…Since the number of uninsured citizens has grown so high, so has the number of citizens who will die. According to the Institute of Medicine, “lack of health insurance causes roughly 18,000 unnecessary deaths every year in the United States. This is ridiculous since the government has to protect its citizens due to our “right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness,” according to our constitution. If the government isn’t saving people that don’t have health insurance, they might as well just sit back and let us get beat in the war. Its the same type of situation. These people don’t have health insurance to help them fight their battle, and the soldiers wouldn’t have orders to help them fight their battle. Do you see where I’m going here?
Check back tomorrow at about 9PM Central time for the next post of the series

Where are all the Christian Conservatives on this issue other countries are doing a better, cheaper job of giving everyone healthcare.
Bush is like Cain the first murderer I am not my brothers keeper I believe Cain said. What did jesus say about the good Smaratian who took in a stranger and nursed him back to health when the Pharrisee and the other guy both rode on by ignoring the man laying in the ditch.
We can attack the modern day Pharrises with the bible we just need a few more quotes and some Democratic “cough” leaders to listen to us!
