Over the weekend, I took part in the first Nebraska Democratic Caucus in over 40 years. I have to say, despite a lack of funding from the Nebraska Democratic Party and the ill-preparedness of the caucus sites, it was a very unique experience.
Early estimates put the turn out at my site as only 17 [...]

According to a newly released study by two non-profit journalism groups, President George W. Bush and seven of his top aides made 935 false statements about the pre-war risk Iraq posed to the United States. Astoundingly, that is only the number of false statements documented after September 11, 2001. The study not only fingered [...]

I’m sorry, but this is my hometown, and I felt the need to mention it. So far there was one shooter, nine dead and five others with injuries. It is the worst mass killing in Nebraska’s history. Not much is known at this point, but a man 19 to 10 years old [...]

Bush’s administration has finally concluded that Iran stopped its nuclear weapons program in 2003. This is a sharp contradiction to the last 4 years of anti-nuclear weapons rhetoric. Most would think that this would signal the end of the verbal tirades against Iran, however, our great leader, George W. Bush, is not like [...]

If you have been paying attention the last few weeks, China and US military relations have taken a nose dive. China, angered by Bush’s meeting with the Dali Lama, has closed Hong Kong’s port to all US Military ships.
The decision was first noticed when two minesweepers request permission to [...]

Today, Iran announced two technical achievements. The first was a new missile with a range of 2,000 km known as the “Ashura.” The Iranian Military was very proud of the fact that this missile is able to target all of Israel, which worries several nations. [...]

Recently, I was compiling facts for a piece I was going to send to my local paper in response to a letter written by a terribly misguided war supporter. What I came across, confirms that the real goal of the Iraq War is oil.
I decided to look up financial information on Halliburton, which everyone [...]

In the last few weeks, our nation has seen several tragic events. The bridge collapse was first, the mine collapse in Utah followed, the gouge in the space shuttle was next, the stock market started to take a nose dive, and finally, to wrap things up, a radiological attack on U.S. was threatened. At [...]

Recently, a debate has been raging about Bush granting clemency for Libby. Republican’s have been pushing for a full pardon, because they seem to believe that law makers are above the law. Even the judge in Libby’s case has been questioning the legality and even the constitutionality of Bush’s decision. However, Congress, [...]
