In the past 8 (almost) years, we have had quite a bad taste of a”Republican Rule,” and I use the term “Rule” strictly. I think you can all understand where I am coming from if you have seen anything in the
news over the past years. Bush and his administration is nothing but corruption.
That being said…
In […]

Recently, I was compiling facts for a piece I was going to send to my local paper in response to a letter written by a terribly misguided war supporter. What I came across, confirms that the real goal of the Iraq War is oil.
I decided to look up financial information on Halliburton, which everyone […]

Why does Fox News want us to have a war with Iran? Why do Americans let Fox News decide what is happening in our foreign policy? Why don’t they have to report real facts?

Think Progress has a post up called If It’s Sunday, It’s Karl Rove and in it they have a list of questions that they want the talk show hosts to ask Rove tomorrow morning. Here’s their list:
Promoting the war as a member of the White House Iraq Group
Leaking Valerie Plame’s identity
Compiling the list of […]

In the last few weeks, our nation has seen several tragic events. The bridge collapse was first, the mine collapse in Utah followed, the gouge in the space shuttle was next, the stock market started to take a nose dive, and finally, to wrap things up, a radiological attack on U.S. was threatened. At […]

According to the Guardian UK, the United States army and the contractors are losing some stuff in Iraq. Whose fault is it?
Also, some soldiers have lost the weapons they were assigned for their job when they were deployed.
Compare these two stories.
The US arsenal lost in Iraq
· 110,000 AK-47s
· 80,000 pistols
· 135,000 bits of armour

Even the White House won’t defend Alberto Gonzales any more. Nor will any other conservatives. So why is he still attorney general? Only because he is friends with Bush? Only because he knows all of Bush’s secrets? What a sham!
Here are some choice quotes from the interview on Fox. From Chris Wallace:
“By the way, we […]

Via Shakesville I’ve just learned that, officially, no one in the United States has rights anymore. Really, they’re a thing of the past. Bush has just issued an Executive Order titled “Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq” which states that the Treasury Secretary is now solely responsible for deciding who […]

It is very wrong for the Pentagon to operate this way. It is wrong to the soldiers that work for them and to their families. Who is going to make the contractors accountable? Who is going to tell the Pentagon to get better contractors? Who is going to REALLY support the troops? […]
